Practice exam

Multiple choice questionnaires: The questionnaire will be mainly about social learning but some questions about individual learning processes might be included.

Oral: The candidate will be required to motivate and explain some choices made during the training sessions recorded in the videos

Practice: The candidate will be required to work with an unfamiliar dog-owner pair and a training session will be simulated.

With the dog-owner pair, the candidate will be required to teach one or more of the following exercises:

  • Teach a new behaviour with a traditional training method (not Do as I Do) chosen by the candidate and/or put it on verbal cue
  • Work in a Do as I Do training session in the 1st or 2nd phase of the protocol
  • Teach a new behaviour with the Do as I Do method and/or put it on verbal cue
  • Teach a sequence of two actions on two different objects with the Do as I Do method

The performance of the dog will not be evaluated by the board in itself. The board will evaluate the teaching skills of the candidate, who will be required to explain his choices about the training and the suggestions and instructions given to the owner
